Career Opportunity – Forest Planners

Crowhurst Forest Management Group (CFMG) is a well-respected coastal forestry consulting firm based in Campbell River, BC. Our team works on a diverse range of coastal forest engineering and planning projects, including road engineering, harvest layout, timber valuation, and silviculture planning.

We are currently looking for Assistant, Intermediate, and Operations Forest Planners to join our team.

Our office is located in Campbell River on Vancouver Island, offering outstanding access to mountain biking, fishing, skiing, and the outdoors.

Operations Forest Planner

· Strong understanding of coastal road and cutblock layout

· Experience with project development & management





· Experience managing engineering crews

· Proficiency with RoadEng, GIS software, GPS surveying tools, and standard office software

· Ability to mentor Intermediate and Assistant planners

· Excellent communication and organizational skills

Intermediate Forest Planner
· Good understanding of coastal road and cutblock layout

· Experience with GPS surveying, data processing, and road engineering software

· Confidence in road traversing and road reactivation surveys

· Strong communication skills

· Some experience supervising field crews

· Motivated, able to work independently, driven to grow and succeed

Assistant Forest Planner

· Minimum 1 year of forestry experience, completion of a forestry program, or the right attitude

· Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

· Good communication skills

· Living in the Campbell River region or willing to relocate.

Compensation for these roles ranges from $24 to $40/hr, depending on experience and position, with opportunities for growth as skills and responsibilities increase.
