Cuckoo Cakery is a luxury-yet-approachable cakery cafe known for chiffon cakes, Basque cheesecakes, cookies, pastries, and artisanal drinks - all made with premium, natural ingredients. We're looking for a cheerful, dedicated and passionate Front End Barista to join our growing team and help deliver an exceptional experience to every guest who walks through our doors.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with consistency and care.
- Provide warm, welcoming customer service — share product knowledge and engage customers in a genuine, attentive way.
- Handle delicate pastries and cakes with care, ensuring presentation and packaging are always beautiful, and compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized and well-stocked front-of-house at all times.
- Operate POS systems efficiently and accurately.
- Work harmoniously with the bakers, and fellow front-of-house team members.
- Help manage inventory of front display items,



ensuring freshness and quality are always upheld.
- Thrive under fast-paced, high-volume environments, especially during peak hours.

What We're Looking For

- Previous cafe/barista or front-of-house experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Passionate about coffee, drinks, pastries, desserts and high-quality ingredients.
- Strong attention to detail and appreciation for beautiful presentation.
- Positive, proactive, respectful, and upbeat attitude.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a quick-paced setting.
- Flexible availability (weekends and holidays may be required).
- Food Handler Certificate (an asset).
