Overview
We are seeking a skilled, reliable, and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical and general building maintenance experience. And the ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain hotel equipment and facilities. This individual will play a key role in ensuring a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests while providing courteous and qualified customer service
- Complete routine inspections to ensure all building systems and equipment are operating safely and efficiently
- Maintain hotel equipment, tools and mechanical systems, including kitchen and boiler room equipment
- Perform painting, drywall repairs, wood trim repairs and general building maintenance
- Maintain the exterior of the property, including seasonal lawn care, snow and ice removal and landscape maintenance
- Monitor maintenance inventory and assist with ordering parts and supplies as required
- Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and all health, safety and security policies.
- Communicate maintenance activities effectively with team members to ensure seamless shift handovers
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment at all times.
- Support emergency response situations and assist in maintaining the safety and security of guests,



employees and the property
- Perform duties in the absence of the Maintenance Manager
- Other duties assigned by Management

Requirements

- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication with guests, team members and management
- Previous experience in building or hotel maintenance is preferred
- Experience troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general building systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills and the ability to complete maintenance records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, climb ladders and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Flexible availability to work shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays and on-call as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
