Role
Ventilation Technician

The Ventilation Technician is responsible for the safe installation, operation, monitoring, adjustment, and removal of temporary ventilation equipment on project sites.

Working alongside project supervisors and client personnel, you will implement ventilation strategies designed to provide safe working conditions for crews performing maintenance and construction activities in industrial environments.

This position requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining safe and effective work environments. The role involves frequent travel, working in various industrial settings, and collaborating closely with clients and project teams.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Project Supervisor, personnel are accountable for, but not limited to:

- Installing, operating, monitoring, and removing temporary ventilation equipment.
- Implementing ventilation strategies and project-specific ventilation plans.
- Inspecting, maintaining,



and troubleshooting ventilation equipment.
- Adjusting ventilation systems to meet changing site conditions and project requirements.
- Performing routine inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Loading, unloading, transporting, and organizing ventilation equipment.
- Working safely in industrial environments while following all client and company safety procedures.
- Representing DynaVent professionally while interacting with clients and other contractors.
- Reporting hazards, incidents, equipment deficiencies, and near misses immediately.
- Supporting a positive safety culture through adherence to company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate project documentation as required.
- Working collaboratively with supervisors and fellow team members to complete projects safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

- Previous industrial experience is preferred.
- Previous experience with industrial ventilation systems and equipment is considered a strong asset.
- Experience working during industrial shutdowns, turnarounds, or maintenance projects is an asset.
- Experience working in confined spaces is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada.




- Must be willing to travel and work out of town for project assignments.

Applicants should possess (or be willing to obtain):

- CSO
- H2S Alive
- Fall Protection
- Confined Space Entry & Monitoring (preferred)
- Standard First Aid (asset)

Physical Demands

Ventilation Technicians perform physically demanding work in industrial environments. Candidates must be capable of safely performing the following duties throughout 10- or 12-hour shifts in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind:

- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Pushing and pulling ventilation equipment and ducting.
- Frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and trunk rotation.
- Walking on uneven terrain.
- Climbing ladders and stairs.
- Working at heights.
- Working in confined or restricted work areas when required.
- Wearing required personal protective equipment, including respirators, for extended periods.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
