Position Overview

The Architectural Technologist will support Axxys’ construction and the Design-Build team by preparing, reviewing, and coordinating architectural drawings and technical documentation. This role ensures that all project designs are accurate, code-compliant, and aligned with client requirements, while collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and develop detailed drawings, plans, and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant software.

- Collaborate with architects, engineers,



and project managers to translate design concepts into construction documents.

- Review and ensure compliance with building codes, zoning bylaws, and construction standards.

- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to clarify technical details and resolve design issues.

- Support the tendering process by preparing technical documents and reviewing bids.

- Conduct site visits to verify work against drawings and provide technical support during construction.

- Maintain up-to-date project documentation and drawing revisions.

- Contribute to design efficiency and cost-effectiveness by recommending technical improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

- Construction related education (Architecture / Engineering / Architectural Technology).
- Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in construction or architectural design.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design/drafting software.
- Solid understanding of building codes, construction practices, and materials.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong interpersonal communication and leadership skills interacting directly with clients’ architects, consultants, contractors, trades. Etc
