The Role
We are looking for a kind and accommodating Server/Host to join our front-of-house team. You will be the welcoming face of Wonderffle Cafe, guiding guests through our unique menu and ensuring their morning starts perfectly while keeping our daily operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience: Warmly greet guests upon entry, providing a hospitable start to their visit.
Menu Guidance: Guide customers through our offerings, highlighting our waffle bennies and signature drinks.
Order & Payment Processing: Take accurate orders and efficiently process payments utilizing our POS system, ensuring strong cash handling practices.
Atmosphere Maintenance: Swiftly clear empty plates and maintain impeccable cleanliness at the host stand, dining room, and espresso counter.
Health & Safety: Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation standards throughout the cafe.
Community Connection:
Provide a warm farewell that makes every visitor feel like part of the neighborhood.
Who We Are Looking For
Hospitality Driven: You thrive in a fast-paced environment but know how to cultivate a cozy, lingering morning vibe for our guests.
Team Player: You are comfortable executing standard operating procedures and working alongside our baristas and kitchen team to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
Experienced: Previous experience in a high-volume cafe or restaurant environment is a strong asset.
Certified: You hold a valid Food Safe Level 1 certification (Serving It Right is a bonus).
Detail-Oriented: You have strong time-management skills, confidence in basic math and cash handling, and the ability to learn new POS technology quickly.
Local Ambassador: You love engaging with the local Victoria community and sharing signature recommendations with newcomers and regulars alike
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
