Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental/Orthodontic Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will support orthodontists in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinical operations, and maintaining a welcoming setting for patients of all ages. Duties

- Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures, including taking impressions, x-rays, and digital scans using CAD technology
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in compliance with health and safety standards
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Provide patient education on orthodontic care, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices
- Schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle administrative tasks as a dental receptionist when needed
- Assist with the fabrication and adjustment of orthodontic appliances




- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment progress and updates in medical terminology
- Support pediatric patients by creating a comforting environment and explaining procedures clearly

Skills

- Proficiency with dental software platforms including Epic and Dentrix
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and terminology
- Experience in dental assisting with a focus on orthodontics preferred
- Familiarity with CAD for digital impressions or appliance design is a plus
- Strong communication skills suitable for working with pediatric patients and their families
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a rapid-paced clinical environment
- Basic understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in pediatric dental settings is advantageous

Pay: $20.48-$23.00 per hour
