Operations Manager
Position Overview
A growing service-based organization is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee multi-site field operations. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality service delivery while managing staffing, logistics, customer service, performance, and financial results.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support multi-site teams, including hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence
- Coordinate routing, dispatch, and field service activities to ensure efficient and timely service delivery
- Monitor daily operations and adjust plans to address staffing, equipment, and customer needs
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and transportation regulations
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training initiatives
- Manage escalated customer concerns and maintain strong relationships with key accounts
- Identify trends and implement process improvements to enhance service quality
- Oversee operational budgets, monitor costs, and identify efficiencies
- Support forecasting, planning, and cost-control initiatives while maintaining service standards
- Provide regular operational reporting and performance updates to senior leadership
- Maintain clear communication between operations, field teams, and support functions
- Serve as the primary decision-maker for urgent or after-hours operational issues
- Coordinate resources and communicate effectively during critical situations
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, safety, and profitability
- Encourage team-driven initiatives and process enhancements
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of operations management experience in field service, logistics, or service-based industries
- Experience managing multiple locations, teams, and budgets
- Solid knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with operational reporting systems and workforce management tools preferred
- Post-secondary education in Business, Operations Management, or a related field is an asset
