Overview

We are an aerospace supplier specializing in the manufacturing and processing of high-precision components and assemblies. Equipment condition, chemical-process control, contamination prevention, and accurate documentation are essential to our operation.

Position Details

Employment Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Shift: Fixed night shift

Working Hours: 9:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the following day

Hourly Pay Range: $20 per hour plus the applicable night premium

Position Summary

The Aerospace Processing and Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for preventive maintenance, cleaning the Special Processing area and equipment, cleaning processing tanks, changing solutions, and maintaining process chemistry. The technician will also perform gross precision cleaning of aerospace components when required to support production. Training will be provided on the applicable equipment, chemical solutions, cleaning procedures, documentation, and safety requirements.

Duties

- Perform scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly preventive-maintenance activities
- Clean processing tanks, machines, baskets, racks, and the Special Processing area
- Drain, clean, rinse, and refill tanks according to approved procedures and schedules
- Prepare, change, replenish, and maintain cleaning and processing solutions
- Perform and record required chemistry checks, such as concentration, pH, temperature, or other specified parameters
- Inspect tanks, pumps, hoses, fittings, filters, nozzles, and drains for leaks, wear, damage, or abnormal conditions




- Replace filters and other routine consumable items according to the preventive-maintenance schedule
- Perform gross precision cleaning of aerospace components as required using the power-wash cleaning machine and other approved methods
- Protect critical surfaces and maintain part identification and traceability during cleaning
- Maintain preventive-maintenance, solution-change, chemistry-control, and component-cleaning records
- Report on equipment problems, chemical concerns, damaged components, leaks, alarms, or unsafe conditions
- Follow contamination-control, foreign object debris prevention, WHMIS, and chemical-safety requirements
- Participate in the scheduled shift handover with the Special Processes and Testing Technician

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience with industrial equipment cleaning, tank maintenance, preventive maintenance, chemical-solution handling, or component cleaning is an asset
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment problems
- Ability to follow preventive-maintenance, chemical-mixing, and component-cleaning instructions
- Ability to perform and record basic chemistry measurements after training
- Solid attention to detail and careful part-handling skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and product traceability
- Basic computer and data-entry skills
- Reliable attendance and willingness to learn
- Ability to consistently work the assigned night schedule

Pay: $20.00 per hour
