Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant floater to join our energetic dental team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations, assist with patient care, and ensure smooth daily practice functions. Experience with dental software such as Epic and Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, will be highly advantageous. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including exams, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring sterilization standards are met
- Take and develop dental radiographs (CAD experience preferred)
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow as part of the dental reception team
- Maintain a clean, organized,
and sterile clinical environment in compliance with OSHA regulations
- Support pediatric patients by creating a welcoming atmosphere and assisting with age-specific procedures
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with current licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant
- Experience working with dental software platforms like Epic and Dentrix
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and materials
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and medical terminology related to dentistry
- Ability to operate CAD systems for digital imaging and restorations
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including children
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist is a plus but not required; excellent organizational skills are essential
