Play, Learn, Grow Academy is seeking dependable and caring Supply Child Care Staff to provide on-call classroom support within our licensed daycare and preschool programs. Supply staff assist in maintaining a safe, supportive, and engaging setting for children while covering staff absences when needed.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children and are flexible with scheduling.

Responsibilities

- Provide active supervision of children at all times to ensure safety and well-being
- Support daily classroom routines including arrival, meals, toileting, rest time, and outdoor play
- Assist with play-based activities and learning experiences
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Assist with diapering, toileting, and personal care routines as required
- Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
- Use positive guidance techniques when supporting behaviour
- Follow all centre policies, health and safety procedures, and Ministry licensing requirements
- Report incidents, injuries, or concerns to the Supervisor




- Participate in emergency and evacuation procedures when required
- Snack and meal preparation when needed

Qualifications

- Minimum 18 years of age
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, school, camp, or similar setting
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (Infant/Child)
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check (required prior to employment)
- Up-to-date immunization record
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment
- Ability to supervise children in a safe and responsible manner

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a licensed child care centre
- Flexible availability for on-call shifts

Work Environment

- Licensed daycare and preschool setting
- Working with children in infant, toddler, and preschool age groups
- Indoor and outdoor supervision required

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $18.00 per hour
