JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a ticketed carpenter; must be proficient in commercial/residential carpentry; experience in leading and training a team of workers is an advantage.

Education: Journeyman Carpenter; Red Seal certification is an advantage.

Language: English

Specific Skills:

- Job site management.



Effectively lead job site crew and sub trades.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub-flooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.

Personal Suitability: Reliability, effective interpersonal skills, values and ethics, team player, client focus, accurate judgement, can work under minimal supervision.

Work Setting: Residential, commercial

Major Work Area: Renovation, construction, maintenance and repair

Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, with valid driver's license (having own transportation is not required but can be an advantage).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 per hour
