Sechelt Suncoast Guardian currently has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team!
We are seeking a motivated individual with 1+ year of pharmacy assistant experience, but we’re also open to training the right candidate who brings a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. This role also offers opportunities for growth within the company based on performance. Starting wage will be based on experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Excellent customer service skills are required, greet customers promptly and gather prescriptions to be handed out
- Answer telephone, ensuring that appropriate telephone etiquette is used at all times and handling customer inquiries
- Enter repeat prescription orders
- Manage incoming faxes
- Data entry for current prescriptions
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and Pharmacist direction, and adhere to all legal requirements,
including provincial and federal regulations and bi-laws
Requirements
- Attention to details and willingness to work with the public.
- 1 year of previous Pharmacy Assistant experience
- Confidentiality and privacy required at all times.
- Ability to effectively communicate with the public at large, potentially overcome language barriers while demonstrating genuine care and concern.
- Experience with Nexxsys/Propel software is preferred.
- High School Diploma required
