A privately-owned bakery leader with over 40 years of history (artisan breads, croissants, bagels, puff pastry, and more, shipped domestically and globally) is hiring a Continuous Improvement Manager with a solid engineering foundation to support their high-volume, automated manufacturing operation in North York.

Reporting to the Director of Continuous Improvement, this role is about real, applied optimization — not another initiative that fades after a few months.

What you'll be doing:
✔ Analyzing and optimizing automated, high-volume lines for throughput, efficiency, and consistency
✔ Leading CI initiatives around process engineering, automation, and line performance
✔ Partnering with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to troubleshoot bottlenecks and land sustainable fixes
✔ Using data and real-time KPIs to identify inefficiencies before they become costly
✔ Running root cause analysis on downtime, waste, and quality issues — and actually implementing the fix
✔ Building a genuine continuous improvement culture on the production floor, not just paperwork

What you bring:

- Engineering background (Mechanical or Industrial strongly preferred)




- 3-5 years in continuous improvement, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering
- Direct experience in automated, high-volume food manufacturing — commercial bakery experience is a strong asset
- Solid grasp of production line automation, equipment efficiency, and process flow
- Hands-on Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodology experience
- Comfort working cross-functionally with Operations and Maintenance
