Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging educational activities. This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and a commitment to supporting the diverse needs of all children, including those with special education requirements.

Duties

- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom setting where all children feel valued and respected.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Utilize computer operation skills to maintain records of student progress and communicate with staff.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with special education needs or working persons with disabilities.
- Encourage bilingual communication when necessary, supporting children who speak languages other than English.




- Foster a love for learning through play-based activities that stimulate curiosity and creativity.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.

Requirements

- Valid BC Infant Toddler Certificate.
- Strong English communication skills; proficiency in additional languages such as French is a plus.
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for working with diverse learners.
- Ability to operate computers efficiently for educational purposes and record keeping.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their growth in a nurturing environment.
- Patience, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children and families.
