Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects from the initial bidding phase through project completion. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Responsibilities

- Prepare comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and scope of work using industry-standard estimating software
- collaborate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms that align with project budgets.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns covering labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Review project drawings and specifications thoroughly to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities early in the planning process.
- Assist in project management activities by providing accurate cost projections and supporting scheduling efforts to meet project deadlines.




- Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, negotiations, and related documentation for future reference and audits.
- Stay current with industry trends, pricing fluctuations, new materials, and construction techniques to continually refine estimating accuracy.
- Submittals, change orders, understanding leed documents

Qualifications

- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of commercial drywall construction processes and terminology.
- Proficiency in estimating software
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
- Robust project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Solid knowledge of construction safety standards, building codes, and permitting processes.
- Ability to analyze complex plans and specifications critically while paying close attention to detail.
- Interior System Mechanic construction experience is a requirement
- Understanding commercial wall types, spec book and prints, division 5,7, 9
