Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator/Baker to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, cake decorating, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves preparing high-quality baked goods, designing beautiful cakes, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. The Cake Decorator/Baker will play a key part in creating memorable desserts for our customers while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Required Qualifications

- Must be able to speak English and either Cantonese or Mandarin.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Weekend and holiday availability is an asset.

Duties

- Decorate cakes with intricate designs, frosting, and embellishments to meet customer specifications
- Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Package baked goods securely for retail display or customer takeout
- Assist customers with selections and provide excellent customer service




- Follow all food handling and safety protocols to ensure hygiene and product quality
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth bakery operations

Requirements

- Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation within a bakery or restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong skills in cake decorating techniques and food presentation
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Basic kitchen experience including food handling, cooking, and packaging skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed
- Creativity and an eye for detail in cake design and decoration
- Food industry experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to speak English is required. Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills are considered a robust asset to better serve our diverse customer community.

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
