G.B. Truck and Diesel has proudly served the trucking industry since 1973. As Edmonton's independent Cummins dealership, we specialize in Cummins engine diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds. We are currently hiring two experienced Heavy Duty Journeyperson Mechanics to join our team.

This position is only open to certified Heavy Duty Journeyperson Mechanics (or equivalent Truck & Transport Mechanic certification). If you do not hold a valid Journeyperson certification, please do not apply, as your application will not be considered.

Duties

- This position is responsible for safely completing all fleet and commercial mechanical repairs to trucks, trailers, and other equipment.
- Ideally, you should have achieved journeyman/journeywoman status of the Heavy Equipment Technician, Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic, or Truck & Transport Mechanic program and can diagnose and complete repairs on all aspects of heavy equipment.
- CUMMINS experience is important.




- Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role.
- Robust knowledge of ENGINE REPAIR
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Journey Person certificate REQUIRED
- CVI/CVIP License (preferred)
- Willing to Get trained, working on Cummins Engines.
- Must have at least 4 years experience

Pay: $39.00-$49.00 per hour

Education:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

Experience:

- Heavy Truck /Equipment repair: 4 years (preferred)

Language:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Journey Person Certificate (required)
