We’re looking for a proactive, analytical, relationship-driven Senior Buyer to support our growing manufacturing operations. In this role, you’ll strategically source materials, manage key supplier partnerships, and ensure our production lines never skip a beat.

You’ll use data, market insight, and robust negotiation skills to secure high-quality materials, competitive pricing, and 100% on-time delivery, all while maintaining the highest standards of supplier performance and supply chain efficiency.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

· Identify, qualify, and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective, high-quality materials

· Maintain strong supplier performance metrics, quality, responsiveness, and on-time delivery

· Build and manage an approved supplier database; ensure supplier certifications & agreements remain valid

· Initiate supplier corrective actions in collaboration with Quality

· Conduct competitive bids, price reviews, and lead time assessments

Purchasing & Order Execution

· Place purchase orders and secure delivery confirmations within 24 hours

· Track open orders closely and update stakeholders daily

· Ensure accuracy of supplier order data and maintain records in the ERP system

· Analyze material needs to minimize obsolescence and improve inventory turnover





· Prioritize workload to support business needs effectively

Cost Optimization & Business Insight

· Drive cost savings through vendor consolidation, freight optimization, and long-term agreements

· Monitor market trends and collaborate with suppliers to gain cost improvements

· Ensure ethical and compliant competitive bidding

· Track and report cost variances and savings to management

Cross-Functional Partnership

· Collaborate with Production Scheduling to ensure zero downtime due to material shortages

· Support inventory cycle counts and reconcile variances

· Partner with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies

· Participate in new program launch meetings & continuous improvement initiatives

· Support MRO purchasing when needed

· Maintain purchasing records and documentation in alignment with ISO/IATF standards

What You Bring

· Post-secondary education or minimum 3+ years of purchasing/supply chain experience

· Strong communication skills, able to collaborate, negotiate, and problem-solve

· Analytical mindset with confidence in data-driven decision making

· Strong computer skills; ERP experience is an asset

· Curiosity, willingness to learn, and a continuous improvement mindset
