About the Chance

We’re hiring Sheet Metal Worker, Apprentices, Journeymen, and Foremen who are eager to grow their careers in sheet metal. About Us

Sabre Sheet Metal Ltd. is a locally owned sheet metal contractor with over 30 years of experience serving Calgary and surrounding areas. We specialize in multi-family and commercial installations and are known for our quality workmanship, strong safety standards, and positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Install HVAC equipment and ventilation systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
- Work collaboratively with crew members and other tradespeople
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Apprentices: learn and apply trade skills under supervision
- Journeymen & Foremen: lead crews, coordinate work, and support project schedules

Work Site Environment

- Work Location: In person – Calgary & surrounding area
- Safety is our top priority on all job sites
- Work environments vary by location and may include indoor/outdoor settings, noise, dust, and weather exposure
- Reliable transportation is required to get to site, as some sites are not transit-accessible

Qualifications by Role

Apprentices (1st–4th Year)





- Registered Sheet Metal Apprentice with a valid Blue Book
- Own basic hand tools and PPE
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- CSTS-2020, Fall Arrest, and First Aid certifications are an asset

Journeyman

- Journeyman Sheet Metal certification
- Experience in multi-family and commercial HVAC installations
- Ability to lead apprentices and perform installations with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and safety leadership skills
- Local building code knowledge

Foreman

- Minimum of 5 years of sheet metal experience preferred
- Proven leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage crews, schedules, and coordinate on site
- Strong communication with management, trades, and inspectors

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
