We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Drywall Taper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for finishing drywall surfaces to create smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring each project is completed efficiently and with precision. Duties
- Apply joint compound (mud) to drywall seams, corners, and fasteners to achieve a flawless surface finish
- Tape drywall joints using paper or fiberglass mesh tape for secure and smooth seams
- Sand and smooth dried joint compound to prepare surfaces for painting or further finishing
- Caulk around edges, trim, and fixtures to ensure airtight and visually appealing finishes
- Read blueprints and project specifications to accurately execute taping and finishing tasks
- Assist with other carpentry or handyman tasks as needed to support overall project progress
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal throughout the job site.
SKILLS
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a Mud Tapper or in a similar construction role.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of construction safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
