Bayview Group is a growing local Winnipeg construction company providing heavy construction services such as road building, sewer and water, concrete recycling, and all municipal services to our communities. We are looking to expand our team and are currently accepting resumes for the following position:

Mobile Heavy Duty Mechanic

Responsibilities:

- Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy construction equipment such as graders, plows, loaders, concrete and asphalt pavers, rollers/packers and machinery related to road construction, excavation, diesel/gas powered light trucks and heavy trucks.
- Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
- Perform unit condition inspections and reports.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized or other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
- Make recommendations regarding extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvement.

Requirements:

- Experience using welding equipment, lubrication equipment and other vehicle repair hand tools and equipment in a safe and effective manner.




- Think logically and keep up with changes in technology.
- Interpret work order and technical manuals.
- Have a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.
- Motivated and able to work at job sites with minimal supervision.
- Work outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Job tasks may be physically demanding lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Provide a minimum of an advanced class 5 driver's license with air brakes and clean driver's abstract.
- Provide a criminal record check.
