Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a robust understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
- Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as inventory management.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive patient experience.
- Bilingual, multi languages an asset
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, particularly in periodontics or surgery.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Maxident or Dexis is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is advantageous.
- Experience as a dental receptionist can be beneficial for managing front-office duties.
