We are seeking a dedicated and creative individual to join our team as a Baker. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a vibrant food workplace, focusing on baking, food preparation, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. We are a small, non-traditional bakery that specializes in manufacturing and baking pies. As a small team, we are looking for someone to fit in well with our company's values and vision.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and assemble baked goods, including pies, tarts, and other ingredients with precision and creativity.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients for baking and cooking.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Package baked goods for retail display or customer orders while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selections and answering questions about baked goods.




- Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or needs.
- Follow all food safety protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment at all times.

Skills

- Experience in baking or commercial cooking is highly preferred.
- Solid skills in food preparation, cooking, and food handling techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently and safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Attention to detail in decorating, packaging, and overall presentation of baked goods.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Willingness to learn new techniques and expand culinary skills within the food industry.
- Driver's license with a clean driving record preferred but not required
- Must legally be able to work in Canada

Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
