Overview

This Rides 4 U Wheelchair Services Ltd. is a locally owned and operated business based in Duncan, B.C. We provide transportation services in the Cowichan Valley and surrounding areas for individuals with disabilities. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team and support the financial operations of our organization.

Duties

- Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software required
- Record and monitor accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Prepare and file GST/PST and other required government remittances.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Maintain organized records of all financial documents for audit purposes

Skills

- Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).




- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (preffered)
- Robust understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation
- Ability to perform account analysis and account reconciliation accurately
- Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and external vendors
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information.
