Compensation:
$30.00–$35.00 per hour, or equivalent annual salary, depending on experience.

Mike’s Diesel Parts is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Lead Parts Associate to oversee the daily operations of our busy parts store. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience sourcing and managing heavy-duty truck or automotive parts.

As the Lead Parts Associate, you will play a key role in supporting both our retail customers and our in-house service department while ensuring our inventory and store operations run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Maintain and manage sufficient inventory levels to support the ongoing maintenance and repair of our company fleet while ensuring our retail service department has the parts and supplies needed to complete customer repairs efficiently.

· Open and close Mike’s Diesel Parts store according to business hours.

· Deliver exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and through email.

· Receive incoming parts and supplies and accurately enter them into the EMDECS system.

· Source and order parts for retail and commercial customers.

· Work closely with in-house mechanics to source parts for active repair work orders.

· Build and maintain relationships with external vendors to secure the best pricing and product availability.

· Process customer purchases and point-of-sale transactions accurately.

· Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date within the EMDECS system.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts store and supply areas.

· Support continuous improvement of store operations, inventory control,



and purchasing processes.

Qualifications

· Previous experience in a parts department, automotive, heavy-duty truck, agricultural, or industrial equipment industry is considered a strong asset.

· Experience with inventory management software (EMDECS experience is an asset).

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Solid negotiation and vendor relationship management abilities.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

· Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

· Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
