Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and assisting in creating a positive patient experience. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a patient-focused approach to ensure optimal oral health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including orthodontic treatments if applicable
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe clinical workplace
- Manage patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care when necessary
Skills
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Bilingual abilities are highly preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively
- Experience in dental assisting is a plus, providing a well-rounded understanding of clinical workflows
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry and oral health care
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and patient care documentation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
