We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage a diverse team. The Plant Supervisor will play a key role in coordinating activities across various departments, implementing safety protocols, and optimizing operational workflows to meet company goals.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing activities to ensure smooth operations.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of heavy equipment, machinery, and tools including forklifts, power tools, and hand tools.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
- Manage staffing schedules, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to meet production targets.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment such as machining tools, welding stations, and assembly lines to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs and preventative maintenance of heavy equipment and machinery.
- Train recent employees on safety procedures, equipment operation, and manufacturing best practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to production metrics, safety incidents, and equipment maintenance.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste within the plant operations.
- Enforce quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing or construction environments with hands-on knowledge of heavy equipment operation.
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machining, welding, assembly, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Prior warehouse experience or construction background is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality assurance.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to manufacturing plants including OSHA standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation or welding are a plus.
