Location: Remote & 1285 Baseline Rd.

Enterprise Discovery and Monitoring Directorate (EDMD) has a requirement for professional services on an "as and when required basis" for the services provided by IT professionals in the IT Security domain most specifically in the area of IT Security Risk Assessment of IT Infrastructure & Services. EDMD requires experienced, dynamic IT security qualified services with a secret clearance and expertise in various IM/IT Technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

- Gathering evidence for security controls implementation.
- Researching and recommending specific security controls or technologies based on the project’s requirements.
- Advising on the proper implementation of security controls in accordance with security standards.
- Participating in security-related meetings to provide input and recommendations.
- tailoring of security control for various data centre and cloud infrastructure services,
- assessment/validation of the implementation of the security controls into the architecture design documentation
- assessment/validation of security mitigation effectiveness, assessment/validation of the effectiveness of security controls in development
- preproduction & production environments
- preparing security assessment plans, risks registers, and weekly assessment reports.

Must Have

- Secret clearance




- A minimum of a three year college diploma(computer science or other IT related field; OR a university degree at the Bachelor level in Information Technology or other IT related field; OR A minimum of LEVEL years (in the last 15 years) work experience in the IT field.
- 10 years of experience performing the tasks in the responsibilities above.
- 5 projects worth of experience in the development and/or writing of formal security assessment report or certification reports.
- Experience in the last 5 years with direct working knowledge of the GC standards policies and guidelines and the principles of security and privacy by design.
- Clearly demonstrate direct experience developing the following documents:
- o Security analysis document
- o Evidence document
- o Functional and options analysis document
- o Security control profiles
- o Security impact analysis document
- Clearly demonstrate experience in the definition of the following x 10 documents:
- o IT security controls (ITSG33 based) and applicable safeguards; Assessment of risk mitigation strategies.
- Clearly demonstrate direct experience applying GC IT Security policies for 4 years.
