Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Tutors for IB and AP Physics courses to work with high school students across Canada and the U.S. This is a remote, contract-based position ideal for tutors who are passionate about teaching, enjoy working with students, and value a flexible work schedule.

Duties

- Conduct 1-on-1 online tutoring sessions through our virtual learning platform.

- Explaining complex physics concepts using diagrams, equations, and real-world applications.

- Supporting students with problem-solving, calculations, and conceptual understanding.

- Support students with coursework, lab reports, internal assessments, and exam preparation for AP and IB Physics courses.

- Adapt lessons and teaching strategies to meet each student’s learning style, academic needs, and goals.

- Provide constructive feedback and academic guidance to help students strengthen conceptual understanding and improve performance.

- Maintain professional and clear communication with students, parents, and the academic team.

- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence and independent thinking.

Requirements

- Strong understanding of mechanics, electricity & magnetism, waves, and up-to-date physics.





- Previous tutoring or teaching experience required; AP/IB teaching experience is strongly preferred.

- A degree in Physics, Engineering, Education, or a related field is preferred (Bachelor’s/Master’s), but not mandatory.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and online teaching skills.

- Reliable internet connection and confidence using online teaching platforms and digital tools.

- Ability to commit to a consistent tutoring schedule and maintain professionalism.

Required Equipment

- iPad, tablet, or laptop with stylus support, or another setup that allows you to write clearly on screen during lessons.

Availability

A fixed weekly schedule is strongly encouraged; however, some flexibility may be required based on student needs and scheduling requirements.

Preferred Availability:

- Monday - Friday, 3:00 - 8:00 pm

- Saturdays, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
