Our client is looking for an experienced Service Technician to join their growing technical service team. This is a hands-on role responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining specialized equipment while providing technical support to customers, service partners, and internal technicians.This position is ideal for someone with experience in commercial refrigeration, HVAC, appliance repair, electrical, or electromechanical equipment who enjoys solving technical problems and delivering excellent customer service.

Salary: $70,000–$80,000
Travel: Approximately 20% (1 week every 6 weeks) throughout Canada & the U.S.
Location: Mississauga, ON

Job Description:

- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment in-house and at customer sites.
- Respond to customer and service partner inquiries by providing technical support over the phone, email, or onsite.
- Install, commission, and test equipment while providing customer training when required.
- Support field technicians by assisting with complex repairs, technical questions, and product updates.
- Review completed work orders and service invoices to ensure repairs, labour, and parts are accurate.
- Source replacement parts, technical drawings, manuals, and other service documentation.
- Build and maintain spare parts kits for various equipment platforms.
- Coordinate warranty repairs, equipment upgrades, and retrofit projects.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on demonstration equipment.
- Maintain and support a network of authorized service providers across Canada and the U.S.




- Coordinate and participate in technical training for service partners and internal technicians.
- Maintain service records, repair documentation, and technical manuals.
- Participate in special projects and provide technician coverage during vacations or peak service periods.
- Travel throughout Canada and the U.S. to support installations, repairs, training, and customer service needs.

Qualifications:

- 3–5+ years of experience as a Service Technician, Field Service Technician, HVAC Technician, Refrigeration Technician, Commercial Appliance Technician, or similar role.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, or electromechanical equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Experience performing installations, repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment servicing.
- Comfortable working independently while managing multiple service requests.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience using work order or service management systems is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Canada and the U.S. (approximately 20% travel).
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
- Post-secondary education in HVAC, Refrigeration, Electrical, Electromechanical Technology, Appliance Repair, or a related technical field is an asset.
- Relevant certifications in refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, gas fitting, or appliance repair are considered an asset.
- Experience training or mentoring other technicians is considered an asset.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
