We are currently seeking a Driver Recruitment & Safety Coordinator to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. This role will be responsible for recruiting and onboarding professional drivers while supporting safety, training, and compliance initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Dispatch, Safety, and Compliance teams to ensure a positive driver experience and a strong culture of safety.

Job Duties

- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for company drivers and owner-operators while maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Source, screen, interview, and onboard experienced Class 1/CDL drivers through job boards, referrals, online platforms, and industry networks.
- Build strong relationships with prospective and existing drivers to promote a positive and professional driver experience.
- Assist candidates with employment applications and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
- Review driver qualifications, licenses, and records to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct driver onboarding, orientation, training sessions, and road evaluations.
- Support safety and compliance initiatives, including Hours of Service (HOS) requirements, driver coaching, and documentation management.




- Conduct background checks and assist with driver qualification and hiring processes.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and safety concerns and prepare reports as required.
- Assist with facility and driver safety inspections and support corrective action plans.
- Coordinate and deliver ongoing driver training, safety meetings, and awareness programs.
- Work closely with Operations, Dispatch, and Safety teams to support driver retention and terminal growth.

Requirements

- 1-3 years of experience in driver recruitment, safety, training, or compliance within the transportation industry.
- Experience recruiting Class 1/CDL drivers is preferred.
- Experience hiring drivers across Canada and the United States is considered a robust asset.
- Knowledge of HOS regulations, DOT requirements, driver qualification files, and transportation compliance best practices.
- Strong understanding of the trucking and transportation industry.
- Previous experience in driver onboarding, training, or safety coordination is an asset.
- Truck driving experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and recruitment systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
