REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

- High level of skill in variety of esthetic and spa treatments such as swedish-style relaxation, therapeutic deep tissue and prenatal massage

- Ability to develop and administer treatment plans

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- ● Act as an example of professional and appropriate behavior in the luxury spa market.
- ● Administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation and relaxation techniques.
- ● Analyze the specific needs of guests and propose the most appropriate and beneficial treatment to suit.
- ● Perform massages in a manner that prevents injuries to self as well as the guests.
- ● Employ a wide range of manipulation techniques to reduce pain.
- ● Promote relaxation for guests to provide maximum benefit of the massage.
- ● Participate in training on the specific treatment offerings by the spa.
- ● Maintain records of patient health and treatment options.
- ● Have complete knowledge and understanding of all related service offerings.
- ● Prepare work area and properly clean, replace linens between sessions and restock room as required.




- ● Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost control.
- ● Sterilize equipment after use.
- ● Diligently promote the spa’s services, retail products and any current promotions available.
- ● Fulfill their duties and responsibilities as set out by the Employee Handbook and enable others in the fulfillment of their duties and responsibilities.
- ● Accept and perform various tasks in the spa as requested by management.
- ● Exhibit behavior in support of team morale and success.
- ● Attend and fully participate in staff induction, subsequent training sessions, and staff meetings as scheduled.
- ● Be available to fill shifts as per their pre-established availability.
- ● Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.

QUALIFICATIONS

- ● Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- ● Certification as a Registered Massage Therapist by a recognized massage training center with a minimum of 2200 hours training.
- ● Ability to communicate effectively and with professionalism in written and spoken English.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $58.00 per hour
