Our client, a leading UPVC extruder in North York, is seeking a Die Assembler/Fabricator to join their team. This role involves assembling, fabricating, and maintaining extrusion dies to ensure top-quality production for windows, doors, and decking products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to prepare and assemble dies.
- Cut, grind, drill, file, polish, and assemble die plates using various tools and machines.
- Inspect and measure parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
- Repair, modify, and maintain existing tooling as needed.
- Catalogue and organize die inventory.
- Follow safety procedures (OHSA, WHMIS) and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with supervisors, production staff, and participate in training.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with tools such as saws, grinders, milling machines, and drill presses.
- Basic math skills and ability to take accurate measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Effective communication skills in English.
