We are seeking a motivated and skilled Framer Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing the framework of buildings, ensuring structural integrity, and working closely with project managers and other trades to bring architectural visions to life. Your expertise will help lay the foundation for protected, durable, and high-quality structures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, from residential to commercial developments, utilizing your carpentry skills and construction experience.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing projects.
- Construct wall frames, floors, roofs, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes when necessary for material handling and positioning.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install framing materials including wood, steel, or concrete forms with precision.
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks to prepare foundations and structural supports.
- Assist in restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged framing elements.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes while maintaining a clean work environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, woodworking, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Experience with concrete forming, finishing, and related schematics.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
- Familiarity with siding installation and exterior finishing techniques.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting, climbing scaffolding, and working at heights.
- Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus for specialized framing tasks.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
