The Water & Sewer Foreman will oversee municipal underground utility projects focused on the replacement of aging water and sewer infrastructure throughout Alberta. This individual will lead crews of 8–12 personnel while remaining hands-on in the field, ensuring the safe and efficient removal of existing infrastructure and installation of new water and sewer systems. Responsibilities include coordinating daily site activities, directing excavation and pipe installation operations, working within trench boxes and deep excavations, establishing pipe grades and elevations using a builder's level, and ensuring all work is completed according to project specifications. The Foreman will work closely with equipment operators and labour crews, maintain productivity on site, enforce safety standards, and complete required project documentation while keeping projects on schedule and within quality expectations.

Must Haves

- 5+ years of experience in water and sewer, underground utility, or civil construction projects
- Previous experience leading crews as a Foreman, Lead Hand, or similar supervisory role




- Experience with municipal water and sewer replacement projects, including removal of existing infrastructure and installation of new systems
- Ability to use a builder's level and establish accurate grades and elevations for pipe installation
- Experience working with concrete, PVC, and HDPE pipe
- Experience reading and interpreting engineered drawings and specifications
- Experience working in trench boxes, deep excavations, and challenging ground conditions
- Ground Disturbance and CSTS certifications
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate crews, maintain productivity, and earn respect in the field
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Plusses

- 10+ years of underground utility or civil construction experience
- Confined Space Certification
- Experience working on municipal infrastructure rehabilitation or replacement projects
- Robust mechanical aptitude and experience working around heavy equipment

Pay: $44.00-$48.00 per hour
