Join our dynamic culinary team as a kitchen helper/cook in an Indian food truck, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create memorable dining experiences! Experience in the Indian kitchen/restaurant is a must. We serve straightforward street food that does not require cooking any specialty dishes. In this vital role, you will assist with food preparation, ensure stocking, ensure food safety standards are met, manage staff, and support the kitchen operations to run smoothly and efficiently. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to a vibrant, fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering delicious meals with excellence.

Responsibilities

- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes and standards
- Support cooking processes by following instructions to ensure the food is prepared as per the recipes
- Manage and train staff as per the truck recipes and procedures
- Stock the truck on a daily basis
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures, storage guidelines, and hygiene practices
- Serve meals efficiently to customers, ensuring presentation meets quality standards




- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to uphold a safe working environment for everyone in the kitchen
- Getting customer reviews and assuring the food truck maintains good social standing

Requirements

- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of proper food handling procedures and hygiene standards
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration and customer service
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks as needed
- Basic knowledge of restaurant or kitchen operations is an advantage but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
