Role Responsibilities
- Uphold standards for quality, cleanliness, daily equipment maintenance, organization, and safety in all areas of baking and pastry prep
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities with the ability to stay calm under pressure
- Time management skills and the ability to work on their own or as part of a team
- Communicate clearly with management and the rest of the team.
- Ability to follow instructions and training based on guides and training materials.
- Be respectful of coworkers
Qualifications
- 2+ years minimum experience working in a high-production bakery, pastry shop or cafe
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining quality and consistency without compromise
- Punctuality and ability to work early mornings, if needed, working in a high-production bakery or cafe
- Ability to work efficiently and cleanly
Additional Details
- Discounts - Free meal & drink on shift and discounts when off shift.
- Wage - Starting Wage - $19/hr + Tips (approx $4-5/hr)
- Shifts - PT - 16 hrs/Week
- Shift Length - 8 hrs. Daytime shifts only, no night shifts.
- Must be able to work 6am - 2pm at least once per week once trained.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Experience:
- Baking/Pastry: 2 years (required)
Language:
- English (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe Certificate or equivalent (preferred)
