Overview
We are seeking a labourer/helper to join our team. Reporting to the shift supervisor, this role involves performing a variety of duties related to the galvanizing of steel materials.
The ideal candidate will no problem with outdoor work, possess a mechanical aptitude, and be comfortable operating various tools and equipment.
Duties:
- Loading/Unloading flatbed trailers with an overhead crane or forklift is an asset (can train)
- Using hand tools and power tools for various small tasks and procedures.
- Assisting with tasks in relation to the galvanizing process.
Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to operate an overhead crane or forklift to load flatbed trailers with various steel materials is a strong asset
- Experience with hand tools, power tools,
and equipment is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50lbs, bending, crouching, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to operate machinery safely is essential
- Perform all duties as directed by the supervisor or lead hands
