Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
BIOC 3300: Cellular and Integrated Metabolism (Winter 2027) consists of both lecture and tutorial/dry lab components. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating, supervising, and teaching the tutorial/dry lab portion of the course.
The tutorial/dry lab component includes 12 weeks of 1.5-hour sessions, with students attending one of four sections held each week on Tuesdays or Thursdays. The successful applicant will provide direct instruction in all sessions, each of which may enroll up to 25 students.
In addition to teaching, the successful applicant will work with the instructor team to revise and develop part of the tutorial/dry lab content.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively as part of the course instructor team. Responsibilities include responding to student inquiries related to the tutorial, managing the course Brightspace site as it relates to the tutorial, developing and grading assignments and helping to invigilate during the final exam.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position
- An advanced degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology or a related discipline is required.
- Recent teaching experience in a related discipline is required.
- Experience providing laboratory instruction to undergraduate students will be considered a strong asset, particularly experience teaching or supporting BIOC 3300 at Dalhousie University.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Brightspace and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Salary Range/Pay Rate
