The Belmont Diner is a busy, community-focused breakfast and lunch restaurant known for consistent quality and friendly service. We are looking for an experienced Full-Time Cook / Kitchen Prep to join our kitchen team.

Job Summary

The Cook / Kitchen Prep team member is responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items to order, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The ideal candidate has previous experience in a rapid-paced kitchen and can work efficiently during busy service periods.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients, portion items, and complete daily prep lists
- Cook breakfast and lunch items on the grill, flat top, and fryer
- Follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality
- Keep workstations clean, stocked, and organized




- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with dishes and general kitchen duties as required
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team

Qualifications

- Previous kitchen and cook experience required
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to work under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices
- Safe Food Handler Certificate required

Schedule & Compensation

- Full-time
- Morning and midday shifts (currently only Friday dinner shift)
