Responsibilities for Dispatcher
- Receive incoming emergency and non-emergency calls from community and non-community members
- Initiate the appropriate response promptly including connecting and transferring the caller to the right person
- Operate with various computerized communication devices and associated equipment to receive, assess, and relay information from the public to security personnel in a courteous,
professional, and expedient manner
- Remain calm under pressure and be able to multitask during high call volumes from telephone and radio communications
- Be able to prioritize and dispatch accordingly
- Problem-solve on the go utilizing tools and training you’ve acquired
Qualifications for Disptacher
- Be authorized to work in Canada
- Must have valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Must have Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification(WSIB Approved)
- Must be able to commmit to Full-Time 12 hour continental rotation schedule (Monday - Sunday including days & nights)
- Must be able to commute to Downtown Toronto with no onsite parking
- Working Knowledge of Criminal Code and Trespass to Property Act enforcement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
- Strong documentation and report-writing abilities
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, Google Suite)
