Natt Group operates through three core pillars: Natt Safety Services, Northern Academy (a Private Career College), and Natt Personnel. Together, they provide complete safety solutions—from training and certification to on-site support, including Confined Space Rescue specialists—while covering all staffing requirements.
We are currently adding to our pool of experienced and agile Contract Safety Trainers to work on an as-needed basis. This role works independently while collaborating closely with the NATT Safety Services team to deliver impactful, hands-on training across a range of high-demand industrial and construction safety programs.
This role focuses primarily on delivering training in the following key areas:
- Rigging
- Overhead Crane
- Common Core
- Chainsaw
- Working at Heights (Initial & Refresher)
- Forklift Training
- Confined Space Awareness, Rescue & Attendant
- Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP)
- Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC)
- First Aid / CPR (Standard Certification)
- 0–8 Ton Mobile Crane Operation
- OTM Book 7 Training
Additional Instructional Areas May Include:
While the emphasis will be on the areas above, the successful candidate may also have the opportunity to deliver training in a broad range of safety-related topics such as lock-out tag-out, asbestos awareness, respiratory protection, defensive driving, scaffold training, and others.
Requirements:
- Experience delivering safety training in industrial or construction environment
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
Additional Requirements:
- Must meet legal/business requirements for independent contracting (e.g., Liability Insurance, Errors & Omissions Insurance)
- Access to applicable training equipment based on courses offered (e.g., harnesses, CPR mannequins)
- Laptop and projector for course delivery
- Familiarity with NATT Safety Services materials is an asset (training provided)
- Experience delivering MOL-approved or CPO-approved training programs
- Ability to teach multiple courses from a wide safety curriculum
- Certification(s) to instruct Working at Heights, Confined Space, Forklift, First Aid, and other relevant courses
