As our company grows, we are looking to build a network of talented Project Development & Design Consultants who can help guide clients from concept through estimate-ready construction packages.
About the Role:
We are looking for someone who can take a client's vision and develop it into a coordinated, construction-ready project.
The successful candidate will work directly with clients during our Project Development process, helping finalize layouts, selections, cabinetry, finishes and documentation before projects move into estimating and construction.
A strong understanding of cabinetry and millwork design is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Meet clients on-site to review existing spaces and confirm measurements
- Develop renovation layouts and space planning concepts
- Design kitchens, bathrooms and custom millwork
- Produce cabinetry drawings and millwork layouts
- Guide clients through finish and material selections
- Prepare organized selection schedules
- Coordinate with suppliers and showrooms
- Work closely with our estimating team to ensure projects are construction-ready
- Upload drawings, notes and selections into Houzz Pro
- Participate in continuous improvement of our project development systems
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience designing residential renovations
- Strong space planning abilities
- Experience designing custom cabinetry and millwork
- Ability to produce qualified cabinet shop drawings
- Excellent client communication skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient with design software (SketchUp, AutoCAD, 2020 Design or similar)
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with:
- Cabico Cabinetry
- Elmwood Fine Cabinetry
- Kitchen and bathroom renovations
- Custom millwork manufacturing
- Houzz Pro
- Residential construction and renovation projects
Compensation:
This is a subcontract position.
Compensation is based on completed Project Development packages rather than hourly billing.
Compensation details will be discussed with successful candidates based on experience and scope of work.
