DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Full-Time Program Coordinator who will work closely with the Executive Director and play a leadership role in developing high-quality programs, strong program staff, and meaningful community relationships. The successful candidate will understand the diverse needs of the community and commit to building excellence through ongoing program supervision and delivery.

This role provides support to members, families, volunteers, and part-time staff. The Program Coordinator will also assist with reporting, program development, and program evaluation. Early morning, evening, and occasional weekend hours may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS

- A member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, or Ontario College of Teachers or Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care, Recreation Leisure Services, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or Kinesiology with a focus on working with children aged 4-17
- Two years of supervisory experience in social service, recreation or related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of issues facing young people and families in Renfrew County
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills




- A good understanding of behaviour management techniques
- Ability to manage people, organize, plan and implement activities appropriate to programs and organizational goals
- Ability to create a safe and caring atmosphere while working with children and youth
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Current Vulnerable Sector Screening Criminal Record Check
- Valid Driver’s License

COMPENSATION

- Salary: $43,225 - $50,960 plus Benefits
- Full time, 35 Hours/week
- Start date: September 2026
- Location: BGC Renfrew County Clubhouse, Pembroke
