Job Overview
Join our team as a Crew Member and help us open the doors on 6ix City Sliders' newest spot! In this fast-paced, high-energy role, you'll work the line, the counter, and everything in between — cooking up sliders, keeping the station stocked and spotless, and making sure every guest walks out happy. Your hustle and hospitality set the tone for the whole shop. This is a great opportunity to build real skills in food preparation, food safety, and customer service while working with a crew that has each other's backs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items — sliders, fries, sides, and sauces — to our recipes and quality standards
- Greet guests, take orders accurately at the counter and drive-thru/pickup window, and handle cash and card payments
- Assemble and package orders for dine-in, takeout, and delivery apps quickly and correctly
- Keep prep, cook, and service stations stocked, organized, and ready through the rush
- Follow all food safety, allergen, and sanitation procedures, including proper handling, holding temperatures, and labelling
- Clean and sanitize equipment, counters, dining areas, and washrooms; assist with opening and closing duties
- Receive and put away deliveries, rotate stock (FIFO), and flag low inventory to your supervisor
- Communicate with the kitchen and front counter to keep tickets moving and wait times down
- Handle guest questions and concerns with patience, escalating to a supervisor when needed
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, QSR, or food service experience is an asset — but not required; we'll train the right person
- Ontario Food Handler Certification is an asset (we can help you get certified after hire)
- Comfortable working on your feet for full shifts in a hot, fast-moving kitchen environment
- Able to lift up to 25 kg and perform repetitive tasks such as grilling, prepping, and cleaning
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling — evenings, weekends, and holidays included
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, team-first attitude
- Attention to detail on order accuracy, portioning, and cleanliness
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and meet Ontario's minimum age requirements for the role
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly wage plus a share of tips
- Free or discounted staff meals on shift
- Paid training and a clear path to Shift Lead and Supervisor roles
- Flexible scheduling that works around school or a second job
- A ground-floor spot on a brand-new store opening team
