We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Assistant to join our logistics team in an additional support role. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Trace and track shipments through internal systems.
- Provide shipment updates and status information to customers via phone and email.
- Manage a high volume of customer communications (approximately 300 emails per day).
- Ensure shipment information, customer updates, and documentation are entered accurately and promptly.
- Investigate shipment delays and work with internal teams to resolve issues.
- Coordinate closely with in-house departments, Customs, Dispatch, Planning, CSRs.
- Maintain detailed records and follow established processes and procedures.
- Order Entry back up.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining quality and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems and email communication.
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, customer service, or supply chain operations is an asset.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance.
- Transportation knowledge is an asset, however not a requirement.
