The Frobisher Inn is seeking a motivated and reliable Dishwasher / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a full-time, two-year term position that combines both dishwashing and food preparation responsibilities in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
About the Role
This hybrid position supports daily kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness and assisting with food preparation. You will play a key role in maintaining kitchen efficiency and supporting our culinary team across multiple outlets.
You may be scheduled to support various food and beverage outlets within the Frobisher Inn, including:
- The Frob Eatery (full-service restaurant)
- Carbrew Café (quick service / coffee shop)
- Storehouse Bar & Grill (casual dining and lounge)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dishwashing duties, including cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dishwashing areas
- Assist with basic food preparation (e.g., chopping, portioning, ingredient prep)
- Support cooks and chefs with daily kitchen tasks
- Follow all health, safety, and food handling standards
- Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
- Willingness to take direction and support multiple kitchen functions
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
