We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to manage a full range of accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate financial records and the general ledger.

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

- Prepare bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.

- Prepare and file GST/HST, PST, and other government remittances.

- Support the Internal Controller with accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and other finance-related functions.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

- Perform other accounting, administrative, and related duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of progressive bookkeeping experience.

- Demonstrated experience preparing month-end and year-end financial reports.





- Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting principles and tax regulations.

- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Experience in the food retail industry is considered an asset.

- Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-location environment is an asset.
