Requirements:
- Must have a valid Journeyperson or Apprenticeship Welding ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
- B-Pressure and CWB ticket preferred
- Must be willing to attend safety training (paid by WorleyCord): CSTS, H2S, WHMIS2015, EWP, Fall Protection, Confined Space
- Must have piping/fabrication experience
- Robotic welding experience would be an asset, but we will train
- Rigging experience would be an asset but we will train
- GMAW Root Tacking experience would be an asset, but we will train
- Experience working with overhead cranes
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills written and verbal
- Work will be primarily outdoors in various weather conditions
Responsibilities:
- Develop and or interpret patterns and blue prints.
- Perform different welding processes and fillers depending upon the type of metal, its size and shape, and requirements for finished product strength.
- Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using different processes
- Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- Operate brazing and soldering equipment
- Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
- Repair worn parts of metal products by welding extra layers
- Clean, check for defects and shape component parts, sometimes using a cutting torch
- May perform other duties as assigned
